The weatherfish is back in Polders of Kruibeke for the first time in 50 years
Within the framework of the LIFE Belgium for Biodiversity, a breeding programme for the weahterfish is being developed. This will allow this species to be reintroduced into its natural habitats.
This breeding programme for this species is in the hands of one of our project partners, the INBO.
The reintroduction of the weatherfish is done in cooperation with the Agency for Nature and Forest, also a partner in the LIFE Belgium for Biodiversity project.
