In februari, we travelled with some experts to our Walloon colleagues at Forêt.Nature. Our mission? To discover new and impactful forms of training and knowledge sharing. And we certainly found them!
The Walloon innovations are impressive:
- A brand new lisièroscope, an exercise site where forest managers can do simulations and training for forest edge management with more biodiversity.
- Travailloscopes, practice sites where managers gain practical experience in young forest stands.
- New training courses on dead wood and (lichen) mosses as indicators of naturalness and disturbance level of forests.
✅ Together we are working towards a future where biodiversity and forest management go hand in hand.
