From 16 to 24 May, we are once again organising Biodiversity Week! During this week, we invite you to discover and appreciate everything that lives and grows around us. Head out into nature and help map Belgian biodiversity — together with friends, family, or simply on your own. Take part in the National Biodiversity Challenge 2026 via ObsIdentify.
Be sure to visit our unique and carefully selected nature reserves. Observations made in Belgian Natura 2000-areas will also place you in a European ranking!
Enjoy the beauty of nature and take a moment to notice what is crawling, growing, hanging, swinging and fluttering around you.
One important note: nature is vulnerable. Feel free to explore, but please stay on the paths, don’t take anything from nature, and leave everything alive and undisturbed.
