A wonderful look back at the second stage of the Days of the Sonian Forest in Flanders.

On Sunday October 19 2025, we celebrated autumn during the second stage of the Days of the Sonian Forest. This time, the forest was put in the spotlights at the entrance gates of Groenendaal, (Arboretum) Tervuren and Jezus-Eik.

The partners of the Sonian Forest organised more than 20 different activities to help people discover and get to know the forest and its surroundings better: nature activities for children, guided walks with foresters, nature and heritage guides, bike rides from other regions with the Sonian volunteers, tree planting in the Tervuren Arboretum and midwife toad release and of course the well-known visits to the Groenendaal ecoduct, only accessible during the Day of the Sonian Forest!
